Washington DC, 31 January 2024 (TDI): Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh held a press briefing at the Pentagon headquarters in Washington DC, on January 29.
The US Asia Pacific Media Hub released a written statement that highlighted points addressed by the Pentagon Press Secretary. She says, “We are monitoring activities and we won’t comment on intelligence.”
Moreover, she said, “We have been very clear on the threat posed by North Korea (DPRK) and their military programs. Our commitment to the Republic of Korea and Japan remains ironclad.”
The Press Secretary posited that the Secretary over the weekend received regular updates on the attacks against US forces. Moreover, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III hosted the NATO secretary-general for a bilateral meeting. In the meeting, the war in Ukraine was discussed along with the next NATO summit for strengthening transatlantic security.
In addition, the Defense Secretary Austin met with President Joe Biden at the White House. He will now conduct a second session of the held meeting alongside Secretary Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

She further added, “We know Iran funds the groups like Kata’ib Hezbollah and these IRGC militias are the ones responsible for attacks on our troops in Syria and Iraq”.
The Press Secretary exclaimed that the expansion of the Gaza War is unlikely since it remains contained in Gaza. However, it may certainly posit an escalatory potential in the way that three US service members were killed.
To further elaborate, she emphasized that we do not seek a war with Iran nor widening of this conflict. We have seen multiple attacks on US forces since October 17th and the tensions are high.
Lastly, she underlined that the United States will continue to protect its forces and coalition partners in the Red Sea.
