Ukraine marks Two-Years of full scale Russian invasion

New York, 23 February 2024 (TDI): In February 2024, the Russians reached their two-years of Russian Invasion of Ukraine. The two-year marks the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

The US offers its support to Ukraine to fight for its future. It has been 10 years since Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity and since Russia invaded and seized Crimea.

An in-press briefing was hosted by Foreign Press Center which included the US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim.

The Assistant Secretary Jim O’Brien released a written statement that said, “The US government’s extends its continued support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.”

In the press briefing, Deputy Assistant Kim Yuri said, “We have a UNSC permanent member that is breaking all the rules and regulations. It is undermining the security of all its neighbors.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s objective is to launch this war in full aggression. This choice is built on fantasy and he dreams of restoring the Soviet Union,” she further added.

Moreover, the US objective is to defend the rules and the principles that have ensured the security and prosperity of the American people. Furthermore, the Ukrainians aim to repel an unprovoked invasion and assert their right to exist as a nation.

In addition, the US foresees to enable the Ukrainian win in the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. The Deputy Secretary further stated that the European Union was able to agree on a package worth 50 billion euros to support Ukraine from 2024 to 2027.

Also, the US showed agitation for receiving reports of Chinese companies offering supplies to the Russian war effort. “China is well aware and we have engaged them in discussions on this topic,” she exclaimed.

Lastly, the US iterates on assessing the actions of the Kremlin while keeping in consideration the brutal reality of the Russian regime and its human rights violations.
