Islamabad, 23 October 2021 (TDI): Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov met a Pakistani politician, Mushahid Hussain. He is also a journalist and is currently Pakistan’s Senator from Islamabad. He is Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Defense. The meeting took place in a friendly environment. Both sides highlighted importance of cooperation in terms of security.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share an enduring diplomatic relationship. The similarities between the two countries are striking. They have a shared Persian-Turkish history. Both Pakistan and Azerbaijan are largely Muslim countries. They have similar cultural, religious, and geopolitical outlooks.
The relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are very deep. They are strengthening with time. Both countries announced continued support to each other on all issues of mutual interest at the global and regional forums. The relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan continues to develop in the religious and cultural spheres.
