Islamabad, 17 May 2022 (TDI): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy called on the President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi.

The meeting between the two was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr. During the meeting, both sides reiterated their desire to further strengthen fraternal ties between Pakistan and KSA.

The relationship between the two countries is based on shared values, common religion, and culture. Talking to the Saudi Ambassador, the President of Pakistan stated that ties with KSA have always been of utmost importance for Pakistan.

KSA has always supported Pakistan in difficult times. Both countries enjoy noteworthy convergence on many regional as well as international issues.

Along these lines, President Alvi urged the need to further enhance the strategic and all-encompassing alliance with KSA in various areas of mutual interest for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.

In addition, it was emphasized during the meeting that Pakistan and KSA need to interact regularly to encourage businessmen and chambers of commerce of both states and enhance commercial bonds to upgrade bilateral trade relations.

The President of Pakistan also pointed out that the Pakistani diaspora in KSA has played a considerable role in the progress and development of brotherly ties between the two countries.

Further, President Alvi asked Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy to convey his kind regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness.

He communicated that the people of Pakistan pray for the good health and long life of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness.
