Geneva, 8 April 2022 (TDI): The World Health Day was celebrated on Thursday to spread awareness regarding health-related issues with the slogan “Our Planet, Our Health.” The day was established on April 7, 1948, as one of the World Health Organization’s first official acts.
As the WHO mentions, the inaugural date of July 22 was changed to April 7 in order to encourage more participation from students.

On this day, World Health Day honors the significance of good health conditions. Moreover, the World Health Organization (WHO) promotes and celebrates physical, mental, and emotional well-being all around the world.
The World Health Organization (WHO) chooses contemporary wellness or medical issues to promote every year. This day sets the tone for what’s to come on the global stage, with topics ranging from mental health to insurance and everything in between. Nurses and midwives, the on-call, restless workforce who changed the healthcare industry as we know it today, will be honoured on World Health Day this year.
People all across the world have been advocating for health issues and access to healthcare on World Health Day since its beginnings. Every year on World Health Day, the World Health Organization has a different theme, which is promoted in schools, seminars, workshops, and discussion forums.
The goal of the day is to raise awareness of the health problems that the poor and less fortunate face in poor countries around the world, as well as to remind us to be grateful for our own health and to take better care of ourselves.
World Health Day motivates people all over the world to take action. One of the WHO’s eight official global health initiatives is World Health Day. The day inspires public awareness campaigns and media coverage.
World Health Day is also a good time to think about personal health. As a result of the conversation, the stigma associated with diseases can be reduced, and more individuals will seek support and treatment.
