What to know more about the DC plane crash?

Washington (TDI): American media analysts reported that the DC plane crash records a history of terrible casualties in this accident. This horrific incident happened after 12th February 2009 when Colgan Air Flight 3407 crashed, killing all 49 passengers on board and one person on the ground. 

The American Airlines and US officials have stated the incident; the former said 60 passengers were aboard the Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) Bombardier CRJ700, and the latter said only four crew members were aboard the Sikorsky H-60 Black Hawk helicopter.

In this sense, President Donald Trump briefed the media about the plane crash incident and that there were no passengers left on the ground.

The United States system is organized with proper checks and balances in all federal and state departments. So without getting the approval of the Senate head, Trump appointed the acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Christopher Rocheleau, a 22-year-old young federal aviation administration. 

In this scenario, after the taking over of the Oval Office by Trump, the former administrator, Michael Whitaker, FAA resigned a week ago. 

Moreover, the National Transportation Safety Board (NSTB) has recovered the Black boxes from the plane.

This terrific incident has raised serious concerns over the aviation safety and security of the people. It raises questions about the shortage of air traffic controllers in the United States. 

Initial findings recovered from the plane

On the other hand, the Air Traffic Control Authority claims that they had recovered initial recordings of the final attempted communications with the helicopter, call sign PAT25 before it collided with the jet.

Both planes had a connection with the air traffic control authority. They had been passing communication just before the incident that was;

“PAT25, do you have a CRJ in sight? PAT25, pass behind the CRJ,” an air traffic controller says at 0147 GMT on Wednesday, according to a recording on liveatc.net.

According to Flightradar24’s Ian Petchenik, the collision occurred at approximately 300 feet (90 meters) mere seconds before landing.
