Paris, 3 November 2021 (TDI): Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh arrived in France for his official visit today. The Prime Minister will stay in Paris for three days, for his official visit to the European country.
Pham Minh Chinh was invited by his French Counterpart, Jean Castex to visit the country. He will hold a meeting with the French Prime Minister accordingly and witness signing ceremonies of cooperative deals.
A meeting between French President Emanuel Macron and the Vietnamese Premier is also scheduled. Both nations enjoy 48 years-long diplomatic relations. The relations turned into a strategic partnership in 2013 between the said countries.

France is the 3rd largest trading partner in the EU with Vietnam. The trade between them is $4.81 billion last year. France could also be seen investing in Vietnam with 605 FDI projects capitalized at US$ 3.6 billion.
While Vietnamese investors poured US$ 3.04 billion and nine projects into the French economy. So far, Vietnam’s Prime Minister has never visited any other European state, after taking office. Paris is his first destination in Europe, to visit officially.
