US has urged Taliban to engage in serious negotiations

-

Kabul: 25 July 2021 (TDI): The United States has urged the Taliban to engage in serious negotiations following the group’s insistence that they will not agree to a cease-fire and peace agreement unless a new Afghan government is established. It is declared by special envoys from NATO, US, UN, and EU to have an immediate ceasefire in Afghanistan which is condemned by the Taliban.

Jalina Porter, The US State Department’s Deputy Spokesperson, stated in a statement that a negotiated political and peaceful settlement is the only way to end the ongoing war as it will eventually bring peace and stability to Afghanistan. She further stated that the world will not accept the government imposed by force in Afghanistan.
