Telephonic conversation between Prime Ministers Of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan

Nur-Sultan – 25 July 2021 (TDI): Prime Minister Askar Mamin of the Republic of Kazakhstan spoke via phone with Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda of the Republic of Tajikistan on July 24, 2021

The Prime Ministers reviewed current bilateral coordination problems in the areas of trade, economics, industry, agriculture, water and energy, transit, and transportation. Joint initiatives to address the water condition in the Syrdarya river basins are given special focus. The parties agreed that starting July 24, the Republic of Tajikistan will begin releasing additional water from the Bakhri Tojik reservoir for the Republic of Kazakhstan at a flow rate of 50 m3 / s, in surplus of the volumes, decided in the June 16, 2021 protocol agreed to sign by the Kazakh, Uzbek, and Tajik parties.
