Islamabad (TDI): The US Embassy in Islamabad has extended the suspension of all visa services until March 20, cancelling previously scheduled immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments.
Applicants will receive instructions by email to reschedule. Routine and emergency services for US citizens, however, continue.
All consular services at the US Consulates in Karachi and Lahore remain suspended.
The embassy cited security concerns as the US-Israel war on Iran enters its second week, with over 2,000 people killed, mostly in Iran from US-Israeli strikes. Almost 700 deaths have been reported in Lebanon amid Israeli attacks on central Beirut and southern areas.
