Washington, 8 September 2021 (TDI): On 8th September 2021, the 71st Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, met United Nations Relief Chief, Martin Griffiths. The meeting was aimed to discuss the UN’s role in Afghanistan Crisis.
The States Secretary upon meeting UN Relief Chief express his gratitude for the UN’s continued work in Afghanistan. Secretary Anthony Blinken articulated the UN Relief Chief efforts as an important element to address the Humanitarian needs of Afghanistan.
The State secretary further appreciated the UN initiative of “Stay and Deliver”. Anthony Blinken Secretary of State applauded the UN for apprehending the world about Afghanistan’s Humanitarian need.
