New York, 24 September 2021 (TDI): The President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid continues to meet officials of various counties. These meetings took place in New York City.
Abdulla Shahid met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry. Both leaders discussed key issues such as Vaccine Equity, Climate Action, and Sustainable Development. The President assured him of his support and commitment to these agendas.
The President met with the State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi. Both leaders discussed the Chinese priorities for the UNGA 76th Session. Vaccine Equity, Climate Action, and Sustainable Development top their agenda. Abdulla Shahid thanked China for its support.
The President also met with the Executive Director of UN Climate Change, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano.
Both leaders discussed Climate Action.
Climate Action is the top priority for the UNGA 76th Session. They discuss the upcoming UN climate change conference in Glasgow in October. President assured her of his support and presence at the Conference.
