Afghan Foreign Minister meets Kazakh President’s Special Representative

Kabul, 18 October 2021 (TDI): Acting Foreign minister of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi held a detailed meeting with Erzhan Kazykhanov, Kazakhstan’s President Special Representative for International Cooperation.

Both sides highlighted the importance of cooperation for regional stability. Special Representative highlighted that Kazakh President as well as government is ready to collaborate with Taliban in order to prevail peace and prosperity. Moreover, these high official contacts and cooperation will help elevate bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

However, both parties discussed about areas of mutual interests. The areas of interested cooperation includes trade, tourism, and economic relations. Also, highlighted that Kazakhstan is playing a high level role in providing humanitarian aid to avert possible Afghan crisis. Special Representative expressed his willingness to continue support for Afghanistan in the future without any discrimination.
