EU Council Lifted Travel Ban from Rwanda

Kigali, 24 September 2021 (TDI): After witnessing the efforts made by the government of Rwanda to combat the spread and effects of Covid-19, the European Union Council adds Rwanda to the list of countries for which travel restrictions will be lifted.

Followed by a detailed review of the Republic of Rwanda, the European Union Council decided to lift the restriction from Rwanda on non-essential travel to the European Union nations.

The lifting of the travel ban from Rwanda can be traced from the efforts of the government of the Republic of Rwanda to combat the spread and effect of the third wave of Covid-19 in the months of July and August this year.
