Kyiv, 6 October 2023 (TDI): In a deeply tragic incident, Ukrainian officials have confirmed that a devastating Russian strike on a grocery store and café in the northeast Kharkiv region has claimed the lives of at least 51 people.
In a strong condemnation of recent events, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Moscow of ‘genocidal aggression’ following a devastating missile strike on a cafe building in Hroza, Kharkiv province.
The attack has further escalated tensions in the region, prompting international concern and calls for an immediate de-escalation of the conflict.
President Zelenskyy’s words highlight the gravity of the situation and emphasize the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing crisis.
In a significant victory, Ukrainian forces successfully recaptured the village last year as part of a strategic counteroffensive in Kharkiv oblast.

Despite being located more than 25 miles (40km) from the frontline, the area has witnessed intense clashes, particularly around the town of Kupiansk and in nearby forests.

In response to the devastating attack that occurred at 1:15 pm in the village of Hroza, located in the Kupiansk district of the north-eastern Kharkiv province, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine has confirmed ongoing search and rescue efforts to locate survivors.
In a strongly worded message on Telegram, Zelenskyy condemned the recent devastating rocket attack in Kharkiv, describing it as a ‘demonstrably brutal Russian crime’ and ‘a completely deliberate act of terrorism.’
Expressing heartfelt condolences, the Spokesperson extended sympathies to all those who lost their loved ones in this tragic incident.
