Ukrainian FM on Russian Sanction List

Moscow, 23 August 2021 (TDI): Russia has inflicted economic sanctions on Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Security and Defense Council Secretary of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.

The list initially consisted of 849 people. The recent addition of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Defense Council Secretary, and 71 others has expanded the sanction list to 922 people. The list also includes other high-level officials: the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Valery Patskan, the Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko, and Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova. The expanded list of economic sanctions was approved by Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.

In response to these sanctions, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that Russia is trying to take revenge on the Minister for his initiative of Crimean Platform Summit 2021. The summit has invited 45 countries (including the USA) to discuss and plan to counter “Crimea annexation by Russian Federation”.
