Bergen, 23 August 2021 (TDI): Dag Inge Ulstein, Minister of International Development Norway visited the refugees camp of Tigray people with Filippo Grandi, UN Commissioner for Refugees in Sudan. Minister Dag Inge Ulstein stated that he was deeply impressed with the pliability of the Tigray People and the humane service and work done by Humanitarian partners and agencies in the refugees’ camp.
There is an emergency in the Tigray region and around 60000 people migrated towards Sudan due to its poor and weak conditions. The Norwegian minister said that The flood of these refugees was affecting east Sudan poorly even though the Sudanese people and Humanitarian Agencies are performing their duties excellently.
Dag Inge Ulstein praised the efforts of native people and was impressed by the organizing communities of Um, Rakuba for showing such hospitality.
