Lome, 23 August 2021 (TDI): Amid the rising need for vaccines globally, China has managed to donate another batch of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to Togo. The contribution of Beijing in the domestic struggle of Togo in preventing the COVID-19 cases is indicated as a sign of cooperation between the two countries.
The freight reached the Gnassingbe Eyadema International Airport in the monitoring of the Chinese Ambassador to Togo, Chao Weidong, and Togo’s Minister of Health, Moustafa Mijiyawa. The ambassador underlined that despite the continued rise in the COVID-19 patients, China has managed to aid the West African country, which will support the Togolese government’s vaccination campaign. While recalling the previous medical aids from China to Togo, the health minister thanked China for its support to Togo in the fight against the pandemic.
