During a meeting with the leader of the Gulf state in October, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Russia’s ties with UAE.

He applauded the decision by oil-producing countries to limit production as essential to stabilizing the world energy market.

During the talks with the president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Saint Petersburg, Putin referred to the two nations’ relations as an important factor of stability in the area and globally, despite all the difficulties that exist in the unstable international situation today.

According to the Russian leader, no one is the target of these decisions. Ïn the meeting he said, “our actions are aimed at ensuring stability in global energy markets to make both consumers of energy resources and those who deal with production and supplies feel calm, stability and confidence, to help balance supply and demand.”
