U.S Secretary State meets Thai Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister

Washington, 28 September 2021 (TDI): U.S Secretary State Antony J. Blinken met with the Thai Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Don Pramudwinai in Washington Yesterday.

During the meeting, both the Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary Blinken reaffirmed their commitment towards the U.S-Thailand Treaty Alliance, and cooperation for countering Covid-19, and supporting human rights. Both the officials also discussed the global issue of the climate crisis.

As Thailand is to host the 2022 APEC conference, both officials also deliberated on further alignment goals on trade, investment, connectivity, and sustainable and inclusive growth.

They also committed to ensuring working on the implementation of ASEAN Five-Point-Consensus
