Ashgabat (TDI): In a solemn tribute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of modern Turkiye, a commemorative ceremony was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan’s capital.
Organized by the Turkish diplomatic mission, the event took place at Atatürk Park and gathered diplomats, local officials, students, and Turkish citizens residing in Turkmenistan.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence, followed by the national anthems of Turkmenistan and Turkey.

Attendees, including Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral and Bayrammurat Gurbanov, Deputy Head of the Ashgabat Municipality, laid wreaths at the Atatürk Monument in a show of respect to the visionary leader.
Atatürk, who established the Republic of Turkiye in 1923, implemented transformative reforms in education, the economy, and governance, shaping the country’s modern identity.

November 10 marks the anniversary of Atatürk’s passing in 1938, a date annually commemorated by Turkish communities worldwide.
