Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan meets IFRC and Afghan Officials

Kabul, 29 September 2021 (TDI): The Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan, Cihad Erginay meets various Afghan Officials and the Regional Director of IFRC Asia Pacific.

Ambassador Erginay had a courtesy meeting with Afghan Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi. They expressed their joint commitment to boost bilateral trade volume between Kabul and Ankara. They also discussed the prospects of increasing industrial output and discussed ways to achieve these goals.

Ambassador also had a meeting with Acting Deputy Prime Minister, Abdul Salam Hanafi. They emphasized the strong bonds between Turkish and Afghan people. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitments to further bolster the relations between Kabul and Ankara.

Ambassador also met with the Regional Director for the Asia Pacific, International Federation of Red Cross, and Red Crescent Societies, Alexander Matheou. They exchanged views on how to best provide assistance to Afghanistan via relevant Turkish Institutions in Afghanistan.
