Ankara, 15 August 2021 (TDI): It was stated that Afghanistan has been facing a critical situation as the Taliban invaded Kabul. Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey, said that Turkey would support Pakistan regarding refugee influx from Afghanistan. Turkey at the time has also faced a refugee influx from Afghanistan entering through Iran. Pakistan and Turkey would together facilitate in bringing the peace and stability of the region to restore.
The President of Pakistan was in Turkey for the Turkish-build naval vessels for South Asia that borders Afghanistan. Turkey has also employed their soldiers in Afghanistan to control the security situation in Afghanistan when the US completely withdraws from Kabul airport. It was discussed to strengthen relations with Pakistan to avoid terrorism in the region particularly Afghanistan’s neighbors.
