Moscow, 15 August 2021 (TDI): The Officer of Foreign Ministry of Russia Zamir Kabulov stated that Russia is trying to organize an emergency United Nations Security Council session shortly.
The tensions in Afghanistan have escalated after the Taliban entry in the outskirts of Kabul and the resignation of President Ashraf Ghani. International society has expressed concerns about the security dilemma of the country. Earlier today, Russia has decided not to evacuate its embassy members from Afghanistan. Nonetheless, Russia is trying to call on International Community via the UN forum to take notice of the Afghan situation and work for resolution of the chaos.
