Washington (TDI): The White House has assured the public that President Donald Trump is in good health, amid ongoing questions about how his age could impact his performance in office.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday that a recent MRI conducted on the 79-year-old president was purely preventative. She added that the imaging confirmed Trump has strong cardiovascular health.

“President Trump’s cardiovascular imaging was perfectly normal, with no evidence of arterial narrowing, impaired blood flow, or abnormalities in the heart or major vessels,” Leavitt told reporters during a White House briefing.

“The heart chambers are normal in size. Vessel walls appear smooth and healthy. There are no signs of inflammation or clotting. Overall, his cardiovascular system shows excellent health. His abdominal imaging is also perfectly normal.”

Trump underwent the MRI as part of a recent medical evaluation, though details about the reason for the scan were not initially disclosed. The unusual lack of information prompted questions about whether the White House is releasing comprehensive updates on the president’s health in a timely manner.
