Phnom Penh, 14 September 2021 (TDI): The State Councilor and Foreign Minister (FM) of China Wang Yi jointly addressed a press conference with the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister (PM) and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn in Phnom Penh.
On the question of the 9/11 attacks, Wang Yi notes the transborder nature of the phenomenon and says that it recognizes no one.
The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that the threat of terrorism has not been removed, the pandemic is still inflicting, climate change is a security threat, and drug trafficking/crime is rampant in the world.
The Minister calls for unity and cooperation as of the utmost needs. He says that all countries should be together in the fight against terrorism and uphold international law-based order. To overcome global challenges, moreover, multilateral policies should be adopted.
