Tajikistan Calls for Stronger Global Human Rights Cooperation at Beijing Forum

Beijing (TDI): Tajikistan’s commissioner for human rights Umed Bobozoda has called for stronger global cooperation to advance human rights protection while addressing participants at the 2026 Forum on Global Human Rights Governance in Beijing.

In his remarks, Bobozoda highlighted Tajikistan’s ongoing efforts to improve human rights safeguards through legal reforms, stronger institutions and increased public participation.

He said national human rights bodies play a vital role in protecting citizens’ rights, combating discrimination and promoting equal opportunities.

The Tajik official also stressed the need for closer international collaboration and expanded human rights education, arguing that collective action is essential to tackle emerging global challenges and strengthen the protection of fundamental rights worldwide.

Protecting and promoting human rights remains a key priority for governments and international organizations as countries work to address evolving social, economic and technological challenges. Experts say stronger cooperation and dialogue are essential to ensuring that fundamental freedoms are safeguarded and that human rights standards continue to advance worldwide.
