US Embassy Supplementary Property Transfer Agreement signed in Kabul

Kabul: July 19, 2021 (TDI): To discuss bilateral relations, the latest developments in the peace process, and a land and property transfer agreement Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, met with Mr. Ross Wilson, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Kabul, this morning.

Mr. Atmar began by thanking the United States for its support to Afghanistan, particularly the delivery of 3.3 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Company and their first shipment to Afghanistan. Mr. Atmar also discussed the significance of continued cooperation between Kabul and Washington in the post-withdrawal stage of steadfast support for Afghanistan, as well as the new phase in Afghanistan’s relations with the international community.
Mr. Wilson of the United States also guaranteed Mr. Atmar the ongoing economic, political, military, and security assistance, as well as the United States’ support for the peace negotiations and a political solution to the Afghan issue.

At the conclusion of their meeting, the Secretary of State and the Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy in the State Palace Conference Hall have signed an agreement on the transfer of property situated in the southern part of the US Embassy and also exchanged documents.
