Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Meets PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD, (TDI): The Deputy Interior Minister of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Dawood, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister warmly welcomed Dr. Al Dawood to Pakistan and wished him a successful visit.

He aso conveyed his best regards and good wishes to King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.

Reflecting on the long-standing, fraternal ties between the two nations, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their unwavering support to Pakistan.

He highlighted the ongoing efforts to further enhance the bilateral relationship, particularly in the areas of economic and investment cooperation.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress made under the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed between the two countries, especially the $2.8 billion Saudi investment in Pakistan.

The discussion also covered the situation in Gaza and the broader Middle East. The Prime Minister commended Saudi Arabia’s leadership, particularly the recent Arab-Islamic Summit held in Riyadh, and expressed appreciation for the stance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the Palestinian issue.

He praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to unite the Muslim world in condemning the violence in Gaza and advocating for an end to Israel’s actions.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of strengthening defense and security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

He expressed confidence that the visit of the Deputy Interior Minister and his delegation would further deepen collaboration in these critical areas.

Finally, the Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, adding that the people of Pakistan eagerly await the honour of welcoming him warmly.
