Islamabad, 22 August 2021 (TDI): On August 21, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi talked to his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov. Both the leaders discussed recent progress in Afghanistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the peace in Kabul is crucial for Pakistan and the region. Being members of Troika and peace talks, both countries played their respective roles to help peace prevail in Afghanistan. They emphasized the dire need for assistance from the world community in humanitarian support and economic help in Afghanistan.
