Islamabad (TDI): The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, on Thursday, briefed the foreign ambassadors about India’s recent aggression towards Pakistan.
He informed the ambassadors about Indian strikes in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in the areas of Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, all of which resulted in the martyrdom of at least 31 innocent men, women, and children and injured 57 people.
The Foreign Minister stressed that the deliberate targeting of civilians, including innocent women and children, is a heinous and shameful crime. During the strikes, India also attacked some mosques, and targeting the places of worship is particularly reprehensible act.
Foreign Minister also informed that the Indian action had also caused serious risk to Pakistan’s commercial air traffic, endangering the lives of thousands of on-board passengers.

He also discussed how India violated international convention by attacking the infrastructure of Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which is also significant in the context of India’s unilateral withdrawal from the Indus Waters Treaty.
Condemning India’s attacks, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said, “Pakistan unequivocally condemns these illegal acts as blatant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Under the international law, the Indian actions manifestly constitute acts of war.”
He further emphasized that the Indian actions are a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and established norms governing the relations between states.
“It is most unfortunate that India’s reckless conduct has brought the two nuclear-armed states closer to a major conflict. India’s jingoism and war hysteria should be a source of serious concern for the world,” he stated.

Talking about the Pahalgam incident, the Foreign Minister reiterated that the Indian government has yet again used the bogey of terrorism to further its sham narrative of victimhood, which jeopardized regional peace and stability.
He also reminded that on April 26, the Prime Minister of Pakistan offered a transparent investigation into this tragic incident through international neutral investigators, but India never responded to the offer.
“We unequivocally reject the baseless Indian claims of hitting the terrorist infrastructure. Pakistan has been emphatically rejecting the Indian claims about the presence of terrorist camps on its territory. The international media personnel visited the sites of some of the so-called ‘terrorist camps’ on 6 May 2025. Similar visits were also planned for 7 May 2025,” he noted.

He also reminded the ambassadors that several countries as well as international organizations had called for “exercise of restrain,” which was completely ignored by the Indian Government.
Pakistan had been informing its international partners of the mal intensions of India during the last two weeks, and the actions of India, last night, demonstrated that the concerns of Pakistan were genuine.
The Foreign Minister also urged the entire international community to hold India accountable for its irresponsible, unlawful, and belligerent conduct.
