London (TDI): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, stated that India continues to attack Pakistan despite the calls for de-escalation by the international community and the United Nations.
The statement came during his interviews with international media including BBC World, CNN, and Sky News.
In an interview with BBC World, he stated that Pakistan had already offered to conduct an impartial and independent investigation into the Pahalgam attack, however, India continued attacking Pakistan.
As a result of Indian aggression, there have been civilian deaths, including children and women, “while as Pakistan has shot down 5 Indian fighter planes. There are also reports of attack by India on water infrastructure of Pakistan,” he said.

During an interview with Yalda Hakim on Sky News, High Commissioner Faisal said, “Pakistan’s first choice was peace” and that the country stated repeatedly that it would cooperate with an international investigation into the attack on Indian civilians in Indian-administered Kashmir last week.
When India accused Pakistan in the past, Pakistan always offered impartial investigations, However, they did not proceed further “due to the lack of Indian collaboration,” he said.
“India has to provide the evidence, we have to collaborate, the delegations have to meet, the Embassies have to interact, if they throw missiles at my country, how do we collaborate? There is no dialogue [between India and Pakistan] since 2016 because they [India] stopped everything.”

On Wednesday, Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, met with Hamish Falconer, the UK’s Minister of State for South Asia. During the meeting, the Finance Minister highlighted India’s unprovoked and blatant attacks on the civilian population in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which had resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.
He further stated, “multiple offers have been made to India to join an impartial and independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident, including through the UK’s good offices. However, India had rebuffed Pakistan’s offer and committed wanton aggression against Pakistan.”

The Minister also called on the international community to condemn India’s actions and emphasized the need for a just solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute to achieve lasting peace and stability in South Asia.
Since the Pahalgam attack, diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan have been on the rise. India had not only unilaterally and illegally withdrawn from the World Bank-brokered Indus Water Treaty but had also launched missile attacks on five locations inside Pakistan’s territory, just after midnight on Wednesday. Since then, India has repeatedly violated Pakistan’s sovereignty.
