Prime Minister to keep fighting terrorism as ‘Top Priority’

Quetta (TDI): On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the necessity of national unity to combat terrorism and establish a stable and prosperous nation. He stated that political division and politics were not permissible regarding national matters.

During his special visit to Quetta, he made this statement during a meeting that focused on Balochistan’s law and order situation.

The prime minister emphasized that the nation was currently confronted with significant historical challenges and encouraged the legislators to demonstrate unity in support of the national cause.

The prime minister also conveyed his sorrow regarding the tragic incident in Kalat, in which 18 young soldiers chose martyrdom and 23 terrorists were slain.

He recognized that a new wave of terrorism had emerged in the nation, and the courageous soldiers of the security forces were sacrificing their lives to eradicate it.

The prime minister also confirmed that the officers and soldiers of the armed forces would persist in their efforts to ensure the peace and prosperity of the country, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, under the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff and the Balochistan Chief Minister.

The prime minister observed that the morale of the Jawans and officers of law enforcement agencies was exceptionally high, and they were completely dedicated to safeguarding the nation from its adversaries. “In the fight against terrorism, our brave soldiers are offering their blood; these are the great sacrifices that will lead Pakistan to prosperity and success.”

The Prime Minister observed that the morale of injured security personnel was extremely high during his visit to the CMH to inquire about the injured soldiers. They also expressed their gratitude for the exceptional medical facilities.

The prime minister observed that the injured servicemen expressed no remorse even though they had suffered physical injuries, as they had made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.

They also stated that they would be prepared to sacrifice their lives if necessary, he added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that militants were adversaries of peace, development, and prosperity in Balochistan, as they were opposed to the prosperity, education, and employment of the Balochistan populace.

A special quota was allocated for students from Balochistan in China for advanced agricultural training, and the Prime Minister emphasized that the Youth Program and the Laptop Scheme were empowering them.

He further stated that the development and prosperity of Balochistan would persist in spite of terrorism.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the terrorists’ goal was to impede the advancement of Balochistan and prohibit its citizens from achieving prosperity and education.

He assured people in attendance that the government continues to prioritize the development of Balochistan and is making an effort to enhance employment, education, and health opportunities.
