Islamabad (TDI): Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday condemned the tragic blast near Quetta Railway Station, expressing profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives.
In their statements, both leaders offered prayers for the departed souls and strength for the grieving families.
The Acting President, through a statement from the President’s Secretariat, expressed deep grief and emphasized that terrorists targeting civilians were enemies of humanity.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed this resolve, stating that those harming innocent lives and properties would face severe consequences.
He assured that the government and security forces remained vigilant and active against terrorism.

The Prime Minister has also called for a detailed inquiry report from the Balochistan government.
Both leaders directed that the injured be given prompt and proper medical treatment.
At least 21 people lost their lives, and more than 50 sustained injuries in a powerful explosion at Quetta Railway Station early Saturday morning.
The blast took place on the platform as passengers gathered for the scheduled 9 am departure of the Jaffar Express, bound for Peshawar.
