Prime Minister Pakistan to visit the State of Kuwait

Islamabad, 28 November 2023 (TDI): Succeeding his visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar-Ul-Haq Kakar will embark on a bilateral visit to the State of Kuwait from 28th-29th November. 

During his visit to the State of Kuwait, the Prime Minister is scheduled to engage with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Jaber Al Sabah. 

Furthermore, the Prime Minister is also expected to meet with his counterpart, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah. 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan is on a week-long visit to the Middle East, where he is planning to visit UAE and Kuwait. 

The Prime Minister, currently in Abu Dhabi will leave for a two-day visit to the State of Kuwait after which he will participate in the World Climate Action Summit in Dubai. 

The visit to the State of Kuwait will include the signing of various memoranda of understanding between the two countries. 

The MOUs will be signed across diverse sectors including the fields of Manpower, Information Technology, Mineral exploration, Food security, and Energy and Defense. 

Earlier this month, the Prime Minister engaged in a bilateral meeting with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait at the sidelines of the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh. 

During their meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the Crown Prince about the Special Investment Facilitation Council and invited Kuwait to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.

In response, the Crown Prince promised to convey the opportunity to the concerned authorities and appreciated the role of the Pakistani diaspora in the development of Kuwait. 

The Foreign Affairs Pakistan in a statement said that Pakistan and Kuwait share deep-rooted and historical relations which span over six decades. 

The year 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.
