President Xi offers Condolences on the demise of Iranian President

Beijing, 21 May 2024 (TDI): After Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died tragically in a helicopter crash, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent his condolences to Iran’s First Vice President, Muhammad Mokhber.

In addition, Xi offered profound condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Mokhber, President Raisi’s family, the Iranian government, and the Iranian people on behalf of the Chinese people and government.

Moreover, Xi stated that President Raisi has made substantial contributions to safeguarding Iran’s security and stability, as well as promoting the nation’s progress and prosperity since assuming office. According to him, Raisi took positive actions to enhance and broaden the overall strategic alliance between Iran and China.

Xi expressed his condolences over Raisi’s untimely demise, emphasizing the profound impact it has had on both the Iranian and Chinese communities.

Furthermore, Xi emphasized that the Chinese government and Chinese citizens highly value the longstanding relationship between China and Iran.
