-

Kabul, 25 August 2021 (TDI): Ursula Von Der Leyen, the President of EU Commission, stated that it is essential and necessary to support Afghan people in the time of crises. They showed their continued support for Afghan people who have been suffering for a very long time.
Several discussions about humanitarian aid, evacuations from Afghanistan, support, and aid for refugees were discussed constructively and objectively. They expressed their concern over the evacuation of EU staff and Afghan staff. It was considered significant to evacuate from Afghanistan during this chaotic time to save lives. They thanked Belgium, Spain, France, and Italy for their support.
Countries that are involved in NATO missions should continue to support the settlement of refugees. She added that they must also ensure that internally displaced Afghans receive assistance or that the international community contributes to their assistance in neighboring nations. As a result, they will continue to collaborate with the countries in the immediate region.
