Warsaw, 30 May 2023 (TDI): The Polish Foreign Minister, Zbigniew Rau, will attend the GLOBSEC 2023 Bratislava Forum, an esteemed conference on global security, where he will participate in a panel discussion focused on Russian aggression against Ukraine.

In addition, Minister Rau will also attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Oslo to discuss critical matters of common interest.

The GLOBSEC2023 Bratislava Forum, held in Slovakia, will provide a platform for Minister Rau to engage with his Slovak counterpart and the former President of Estonia.

The panel, titled “Leading from the Centre: CEE at a Time of War,” will explore various aspects of this crisis and shed light on the role of both the European Union (EU) and NATO member states in supporting Ukraine’s efforts.

Minister Rau’s participation in the GLOBSEC2023 panel highlights Poland’s commitment to addressing regional security concerns and reinforcing solidarity among CEE nations.

With Russia’s actions in Ukraine posing a significant threat to stability in the region, the panel discussions aim to foster dialogue, understanding, and collaboration to find effective solutions.

Following the GLOBSEC2023 conference, Minister Rau will proceed to Oslo to attend an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers on May 31 and June 1.

The discussions will result in the development of a cooperative mechanism with Ukraine, emphasizing the country’s integration within Europe and the Euro-Atlantic alliance.

The Polish Foreign Minister’s active involvement in these events underscores the importance Poland attaches to a robust transatlantic alliance and the promotion of regional stability.
