Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s passport has been ranked 100th globally in the latest Henley Passport Index, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 30 destinations worldwide.

The index evaluates 199 passports against 227 travel destinations and ranks them based on the number of countries that can be accessed without a prior visa.

According to the latest report, Pakistan has continued to remain near the lower end of the global rankings, although its position has shown gradual improvement since 2021. Earlier this year, it briefly improved to 98th place before slipping back to 100th in the latest update.

The number of destinations accessible to Pakistani passport holders has also fluctuated slightly in recent months, with access recorded at 32 countries in February before decreasing to 30 in the latest ranking due to changes in visa arrangements.

The index shows that Asian countries continue to dominate the top positions, with Singapore holding first place. Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates share second position, while Sweden is the highest-ranked European country at third.
