Brussels, 3 October 2023 (TDI): Amna Baloch, Pakistani Ambassador to Belgium, joined a Mehfil-e-Milad organized by the Pakistani Community at Jamia Islamia, Mollenbeak Brussels, on October 3.

Reciters marked the event with recitations of the Holy Quran, naats, and speeches highlighting various aspects of life and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم).

In their statements, Ulema discussed the different facets of the Holy Prophet’s (صلى الله عليه وسلم) life (Seerat un Nabi) and made duas for the Muslim Ummah.

According to the Ambassador, the entire life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a wonderful example for us all to follow.

Furthermore, she stated that adhering to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), which include tolerance, peace, compassion, endurance, humility, honesty, and charity, can lead to success in this world and the next.

The Ambassador also highlighted the importance of empowering women and providing them with equal opportunities in all aspects of life.

In addition, she drew attention to Bibi Fatima (رضي الله عنها), the cherished daughter of the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), and lauded her persistent dedication to knowledge, compassion, and social justice.

She emphasized that Bibi Fatima (رضي الله عنها), who exemplified fortitude, resiliency, and loyalty to family and community, served as an exemplary role model for Muslim women.

The Ambassador also discussed Hazrat Bibi Aisha (رضي الله عنها), a famous scholar and the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), and her extraordinary life.

Moreover, she pointed out how Hazrat Aisha’s (رضي الله عنها) unparalleled intelligence and profound understanding of Islamic teachings have been a source of inspiration for generations of Muslims worldwide.

She emphasized that by imitating these magnificent role models, we can fully realize the enormous potential of women and empower them to contribute to the development and prosperity of society.

In closing, the Ambassador urged people to support gender equality, make sure that everyone has access to a decent education, and establish a culture that supports women’s growth.

She also expressed hope that by acknowledging the significant role played by women in Islam, we may all work together to create a society that is more just and inclusive.

In the end, the Ambassador awarded awards and diplomas to the students from Jamia Islamia Mollenbeak who successfully completed their studies.
