Pakistan Opens Its Biggest Electric Vehicle Expo in Lahore

Lahore (TDI): The hum of electric motors is replacing the roar of petrol engines at the Expo Centre in Lahore today, as the Electric Vehicle (EV) Expo 2026 has kicked off.

EV Expo is a pioneering three-day event running from May 15 to 17, as a gateway to the country’s rapidly growing EV market.

Organized by White Paper Summits and held in conjunction with the Pakistan E-Bike Expo, the event has brought together the country’s top electric vehicle brands, policymakers, and investors under one roof, making it Pakistan’s biggest electric mobility event yet.

The comprehensive expo showcases next-generation electrification technology, innovative sustainable solutions, advanced electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, battery systems, energy storage solutions, and the latest mobility trends.

Beyond cars and bikes, attendees can also explore the latest breakthroughs in autonomous systems, electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, electric marine solutions, hydrogen power, and alternative fuels.

Among the confirmed exhibitors, participants include SBEEC, Orbit, Jolta Electric, ZVolta, Zentiq Energy, Nova Mobility, SALIDA, GoGreenAvenue, DJDC, and QINGQI.

On the four-wheeler front, options span premium to practical price points; the BYD Atto 3, BYD Sealion 6 plug-in hybrid, and the BYD Seal sedan sit alongside Changan’s AVATR 11 and Deepal S07, Xpeng’s G6 and X9, and more accessible entries from Honri and JMEV aimed at a wider audience.

Punjab has seen some of the highest adoption rates for electric motorcycles and scooters in the country, making Lahore a fitting host city as charging infrastructure continues to expand and consumer awareness reaches an all-time high.

The expo also takes a frank look at infrastructure realities. Charging specialists will present concrete timelines, home-installation packages, and expansion strategies, addressing one of the sector’s most pressing concerns: reliable infrastructure beyond major urban centers.

This dialogue ties directly into national ambitions, including the New Energy Vehicle Policy 2025–2030 and Pakistan’s ambitious target of 30 percent EV adoption by 2030.

Local manufacturing is emerging as a defining theme. Projects such as BYD’s collaboration with Mega Motor near Karachi, alongside Changan’s existing capabilities, are expected to lower vehicle prices significantly and accelerate service network growth.

The event provides a unique opportunity for industry leaders, investors, and consumers to engage with Pakistan’s growing sustainable transport sector and shape its future.

With the expo running through May 17, Lahore finds itself at the center of a national conversation about whether Pakistan is finally ready to shift gears.
