Islamabad (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation on Tuesday with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, including the ongoing situation in Syria, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office.
During the discussion, the two foreign ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening Pakistan-Iran relations across various sectors, including trade, energy, and cultural exchanges.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation to address mutual challenges and seize shared opportunities.
Regional developments were a key focus of the conversation, with particular attention to the evolving situation in Syria.
The ministers shared perspectives on the need for coordinated efforts to ensure stability and peace in the region.
They also stressed the significance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and addressing humanitarian concerns.
