Islamabad (TDI): Azerbaijan and Pakistan have agreed in principle to promote joint projects, investment and trade partnerships, a press release said.
This was decided during a meeting between Minister for Communications, Privatization and Investment Board Abdul Aleem Khan and Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Pakistan Khazar Farhadov in Islamabad on Saturday.
The meeting, which comes on the back of consistent bilateral activities between the two friendly countries, including exchanges of high-level delegations and Pakistan’s active participation in the COP 29 conference in Baku, was deemed “highly successful.”
During the meeting, both sides agreed to promote joint projects and trade partnerships for which practical work will be started in the coming days.
On the occasion, Aleem Khan stressed that both countries should include tourism in the areas of mutual cooperation.
“We need to convert our mutual relations into business and bilateral trade for which positive progress is being made from both sides,” Aleem said.
The minister invited Azerbaijani Companies to invest and launch businesses in Pakistan, saying that in the current circumstances, foreign investment can be made through G2G and B2B.
