Abu Dhabi, 5 February 2023 (TDI): The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi hosted a celebration to mark “Kashmir Solidarity Day.” Attendees came from all different walks of life.

The Pakistani Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, presided over the ceremony. During the occasion, readings of particular messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister took place.

In accordance with pertinent UN Security Council resolutions, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Kashmiris in their just struggle for their unalienable right to self-determination.

The tragedy of the Kashmiris, according to the Ambassador, dates back more than seven decades as a result of India’s ongoing repression and persistent denial of their fundamental rights.

It is pertinent to note that following India’s illegal and unilateral actions on August 5, 2019, the human rights situation in IIOJK has become even worse.

The illegal and unilateral actions taken by India on August 5, 2019, were clearly anti-peace and against international law, including the UN Charter, UN Security Council Resolutions, and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

A documentary about the egregious human rights violations carried out by the Indian occupation forces in Kashmir was screened during the event. In addition, a photo exhibition was planned for the event’s fringes.

An early resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people was prayed for as well as for the Kashmiri martyrs at the conclusion of the event.
