Islamabad, 8 November 2021 (TDI): Foreign office of Pakistan has issued a statement that has condemned the cowardly attack in Baghdad. The attack in Baghdad targeted the residence of the Iraqi Prime Minister. Pakistan expressed a sense of relief in knowing that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is safe.

The assassination attack on the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is perhaps a new escalation in the country’s post-election turmoil.

The statement issued by the foreign office of Pakistan said, “Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly government and people of Iraq”. Pakistan extended its heartfelt sympathies to all affected by the cowardly attack. Pakistan also conveyed prayers for the injured and their speedy recovery.

Pakistan’s condemned not just the attack on the Iraqi Prime Minister’s residence but also considered it an act of terrorism. Adding more to it, Pakistan condemned all forms of terrorism in the statement issued by the foreign office.
