Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan, along with several Muslim-Arab nations, has warned that repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire in Gaza are jeopardizing regional peace and stability.

In an official statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said that Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, all founding members of US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace, condemn Israel’s actions, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of over a thousand Palestinians.

The warning follows Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza on Saturday, described as some of the deadliest since the October ceasefire. The attacks targeted homes, tents, and a police station, killing more than 30 people, including three girls from a single family. Hamas, which governs nearly half of Gaza’s territory, said Israel had breached the truce, though it did not specify whether any of its members or facilities were hit in the strikes.

“These actions risk escalating tensions and undermine efforts aimed at consolidating calm and restoring stability,” the Foreign Office said.

The statement added that the violations are occurring at a time when regional and international parties are working to advance the second phase of Trump’s peace plan and implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The foreign ministers of the nations involved said that repeated breaches of the truce pose a direct threat to the political process and hinder efforts to create conditions for a more stable phase in Gaza, both in terms of security and humanitarian relief. They stressed the need for full commitment to the success of the second phase of the peace plan.

All parties were urged to exercise restraint, uphold their responsibilities, and avoid actions that could derail the ongoing process. The statement emphasized the importance of preserving the ceasefire, enabling early recovery and reconstruction, and advancing a just and lasting peace based on the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood, in accordance with international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
