Pakistan and Argentina mark 70 years of Diplomatic Ties

Lahore, 30 December 2021 (TDI): Pakistan and Argentina celebrate seven decades of strong diplomatic ties by arranging a Polo exhibition in Lahore, earlier in December.

The match was organized by the embassies of both countries. The event was attended by the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi and ambassadors of more than forty countries, government officials, and polo enthusiasts.

The match was sponsored by Brighto Paints. It was hosted by Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The teams of both the countries came on the ground played a really interesting match. The match ended in a draw, both teams scoring 5 points at the end.

The match was a symbol of a strong, good and cordial relationship between the two states. The officials and polo enthusiasts that attended the match spoke about their experience staying in Lahore, the second-largest city of Pakistan.

The Argentina nationals expressed gratitude over their stay in Lahore. They called their experience to be wholesome. They also talked about the welcoming and loving community of Pakistan.

Moreover, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan called Polo to be a very exciting event for both countries. He explained how thousands of people from all over the country come together to see a polo match.

Pakistan and Argentina

In 1951, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan established diplomatic relations with Argentina. Since then both the states have shared good economic and bilateral relationships. The two countries have collaborated in various areas.

Both the states have had shared interests and values at international and regional levels. The two countries in 2008 established friendly parliamentary groups in both states. Moreover, both countries are working to improve people-to-people interaction.

The Pakistani community in Argentina is promoting the heritage and culture of Pakistan in Argentina. Thus, providing a chance to the people of Argentina to explore different cultures and traditions. The arrangement of such events further adds to the improvement and strengthening of relationships between the two states politically as well as publicly.
