Wellington, 19 October 2021 (TDI): New Zealand ranked third in exporting ‘Oxygen’ and Respiratory therapy equipment to Germany. The claim was made by a report on ‘German Medtech and digital health market’.

The German Health Sector in transition: challenges & opportunities for Medtech report, was released in MEDICA trade show in Düsseldorf.

Germany has a huge health market. It spends 12% of GDP on health and report remarks it a stunning success.

The import of pharmaceutical products increased in the previous decade. There was a decline last year. German Medtech industry hopes to revive the trend, this year.

New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in a tweet mentioned that their country is third largest exporter of Oxygen and Respiratory therapy equipment to Germany. Report concluded with the innovation in people’s minds after Covid-19 which increased public awareness, even the health budget was shrinking after pandemic.
