Washington D.C. 17 September 2021 (TDI): On Thursday, Chairman of Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Muhammad Tariq Malik, inaugurated a NADRA Centre at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington. The initiative comes under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision to facilitate overseas Pakistanis with registration and application processes.
Besides Chairman Nadra, the ceremony was also attended by Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, and other embassy officials. Following the establishment of the NADRA center in Washington, the Pakistani-Americans, who are legal heirs of a deceased, can now easily obtain the letter of Administration and Succession Certificates from courts, along with direct verification of their biometrics without traveling to Pakistan.
On this occasion, Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik further stated that Pakistanis residing in the US could also start processing their National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) and Pakistan Origin Card (POC) through Washington.
