Amman, 15 October 2021 (TDI): King Abdullah II of Jordan recently returned after paying a visit to Qatar. The visit was meant to rejuvenate the bilateral ties between the brotherly states. Queen Rania and his entourage accompanied him for the visit.

On his return to Jordan, King Abdullah thanked the ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Qatari people for their generous hospitality. He reiterated Jordan’s intent to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and their people.
Qatar and Jordan have a strong bilateral relationship based on mutual interest. The two allies aim to work in collaboration for the sake of regional peace and stability.
During his visit, the Jordanian Monarch also paid a visit to the Education City Stadium. He also visited the National Command Center affiliated with the Ministry of Interior. He was briefed on the security operations room of the World Cup that will be held in Qatar next year.
